Can you convert a G1377A into a G1367A

I recently received a G1377A micro-wellplate autosampler and want to convert it over to a G1367A wellplate autosampler. I have the all the parts to convert if from capillary to standard HPLC tubing. The problem comes with the software/firmware or whatever it is that controls the G1377A does not allow for the 100uL metering device. I was wondering is there a way to flash the bios or change the firmware to make the G1377A thinks its a G1367A? If that is not possible if I replaced the main board of the G1377A with and G1367A main board would that solve my problem. This is the only capillary module that I have so using it as is is not an option.

This is probably a dumb question, but have you contacted Agilent to ask them?

The problem has been solved and yes you can easily convert a G1377a to a G1367a. The hardest part about the process was to "type" the main board and updating the firmware. It took a bit of searching and luckily I knew someone who had installed a few systems. It was fairly easy to do with the firmware update tool from agilent. All I had to do after that was to change out the stator assembly and analytic head off the previous auto sampler and put them on the new auto sampler. I did have to buy and new needle, needle seat and sample loop, but it was a small price to pay compared to a unusable auto sampler.

I know this post is a few years old but I hope I can still get some pointers on this topic. Would upgrading the firmware automatically "retype" the mainboard of a G1377A microALS to that of a G1367A? if not, could you send me a link for doing this coversion?

Many thanks in advance!
