You may want to consider purchasing an LC SPIDERLING™ HPLC COLUMN SELECTION SYSTEM for your Agilent brand HPLC system. They are available in room temp as well as fully heated / sub-amb cooled versions for up to 9-columns plus one By-Pass line and work with all versions of ChemStation for LC or OpenLAB (and other systems too).

Wow - that's a lot. We just used the Agilent 2-column switching valve, that was plenty. 10 columns gets complicated with plumbing, etc.

I'd say stay simple and use fingertight fittings.

I remember there being a 6 column external valve made by Agilent but for more than that you had to go third party.

I once made a setup to run Glyphosate, Carbamates, and Diquat all on one system without removing columns but it was complicated. I used the two way valve in the Agilent column oven with one side being the Diquat column then the other passing out to a Pickering Post Column unit where I had another two way valve that switched between the Glyphosate and Carbamate columns then the common returned to the "IN" port of the two way in the column oven.

If you get creative you can make almost anything work :)
