Hi all. I have an older HP5890 GC with an SRI Instruments Model 510 methanizer that we use for GHG analysis. Last month we suddenly weren't able to get a CO2 peak after a few years of good analyses, and I suspect the nickel catalyst has died (students probably shut down the GC improperly). Does anyone know where to get Agilent nickel catalyst powder (p/n 18900-61020), or an equivalent? The item is no longer available on the Agilent website. Thanks.

The part number that you have given is for the complete nickel catalyst assembly. You should be able to order this, there are four in stock worldwide. The part number of the nickel catalyst powder that will enable you to repack your present assembly is 5080-8761.
