Hallo Friends,

I have a 1312A Binary Pump which appears to be leaking solvent from the purge valve. I have tried to tighten the purge valve sufficiently. However this problem does not go away.

Also it seems that the capillary seat on the rim of the purge valve is also leaking. Is this a known problem. Should I replace the entire purge valve or would be it sufficient to replace the gold frit ?

Kind Regards
SG
I would first replace the replacement-parts. (Frit, Gold Seal, Cap)

If that doesn't work you should replace the whole valve.
If solvent leaks out the purge nipple of the purge frit when the purge knob is closed, then the valve is bad, possibly from overtightening.

Replace the valve.

Same part as on Agilent quaternary pumps, too, and same there if it leaks when it shouldn't.

If ''only' the capillary fitting was leaking, I'd say to try a fitting with a PEEK ferrule. But your case is double-trouble.
