ChemStation turns off valve box heater

Discussions about GC and other "gas phase" separation techniques.

Hello guys,

I'm having a bit of an annoying problem with ChemStation and the valve box. Everytime I open the "configuration window", I select the valve box heater to be turned on (at 150 °C), but once I close the window, the heater turns off. Then I have to turn it on again using the GC's keyboard (and it stays on until I happen to open the window again and close it).

It's not a life-or-death problem but it's certainly a bit annoying. Any idea about how I could fix this? I'm using ChemStation B.04.02 with a 6890N.

Thanks!
1) Load the method you're having trouble with on ChemStation.
2) Using the GC keyboard, turn the valve box heater on and set to the desired temp.
3) In ChemStation, go to Instrument -> Edit Agilent 6890 GC Parameters.
4) Right click on the pop up parameters screen and select "Upload Method from GC", (in the blank space above OK/Cancel/Apply/Help).
5) Press OK.
6) Save the method.

Hopefully that will solve the issue.
That did the trick! Thanks a lot :)
