Hey Guys,

Just wondering what the differences are between Waters QTOF Ultima API and Waters Xevo G2-S QTOF. I know the xevo is the newer model but I'd like to know what the specific changes they did between the two in order to improve the system. Thanks for the Help all!
Hey Guys,

I'm guessing I didn't add enough in for about the two systems and after some time of looking up the info, I've also found it hard to find more details about the two systems. For the rest of this post I'll be referring to Waters WTOF Ultima API as A and Waters Xevo G2-S QTOF as B. A uses a multi channel plate for the detector and B uses an ultra fast electron multiplier. A is water cooled b is air cooled. Resolution for A is 10k and for B >32.5k for resolution mode and >22.5k for sensitivity mode. I just wanted to know why the first two specs are improvements and as far as the resolution, why there are 2 different specs for resolution. It my mind I would always use the resolution with the greater value, so why have 2 settings? Thanks for the help all and have a wonderful day!

Regards,
