Dear all,
I am using GC with Pulsed Flame Photometric Detector for the analysis of organophosphorus pesticide residue. Recently, I have a problem with the chromatogram that I get, where all the analytes peak will have a small litte bump in front of it, I try to trim my column front and replace the liner and septa, but it doesn't solve the problem. I changed the gold seal and trim the column end, but the problem still the same. I prepared a fresh standard (in acetone) to test on the system, the problem still remained.

Anyone has come across this problem, please help me.
Thanks.

The column is being use since a month ago and there was no problem before this.

Along,

Might be an injector problem where a trace of the sample is in the needle of the syringe and gets "injected" as it enters the injection port before the plunger is depressed to make the bulk of the injection.
