This is a question related to troubleshooting in the Analyst 1.4 software used for LC-MS-MS measuremnt. I am not sure if this is the right forum to ask this question. Excuse me if it is not.
I am measuring several pharmaceutical compounds in water through API 2000 LC-MS-MS. I use Analyst 1.4 software to quantify the analytes. I saved the quantified file as xyz.rdb. However, after some time, when I try to reopen the file, it does not open. It appears to open it, but in a fraction of a second it disappears, and appears to hang. While I try to open the same file through "My computer", I get a message "A Get() or a seek() was called at the beginning or end of a set". The size of the file shown is about 12MB. Can any body suggest me as how to open the file, such that I can save a few hours of my work. Thanks, Balakrishna
Normally this should work, when the RDB file is in the folder RESULTS under the project name and the *.WIFF and *.WIFF.SCAN in the DATA folder of the project.

It looks like something got corrupted. You still have the raw data (I hope) - just process the data again and save under different name. This shouldn't take more than 30 min. Get rid of the corrupted file. If you really have Analyst 1.4 consider upgrading to 1.4.2.
