Adding to a Chemstation Partial Sequence?

I have Agilent Chemstation B.04.03 and I was wondering if there is a way to add to a partial sequence. When trying to select the sequence table, it says "Sequence Table access is not allowed while running a partial sequence. Enter the partial sequence screen to view sequence progress." I would like to be able to add lines after the sequence has started for samples that arrive later in the day, etc. Does anybody know how to do this? Thanks in advance!

I've used ChemStation since A.03 was on floppy discs.
1. I know exactly what you're talking about.
2. I don't know any way to do what you wish. What I've done is stop the Partial Sequence manually just as a run is about to complete, noting which vial is to be next, then adding new vials to the Sequence Table, saving that, then starting a new Partial Sequence starting with the next vial/injection.

I have not found a way to edit a running partial sequence either.
I almost never use the partial sequence option, I just edit out what I don't want to run and advance my starting file number to the next in line so that it keeps everything uniform. That way if I need to add to the sequence later I just edit on the fly during the run.

likewise. If my sequence runs completely, it's finished. If it doesn't, and I have to run bits again, I save a new sequence running everything I need. Anybody care to explain what you're supposed to do with the partial sequence feature?? It's always eluded me.

Hi
Not sure either what the background to partial sequence is. Newer used it for collecting data, used normal sequence and paused it if I needed to add a forgotten sample or so.
However used partial sequence in the past for reprocessing of data during development (sometimes had to modify integration settings after modifying procedure between trials), typically just excluded blanks (not impacted) from reprocessing.
Not tried myself, but is it possible to pause sequence, use particial sequence for processing of for instance standards/SSTs prior to sample inject?

Partial sequence allows you to rerun or begin a run from a certain point in the sequence and it will automatically advance the incremental data file names to the new starting point in the sequence. If you just delete the first five entries and start the run fresh it will overwrite the previous files if you do not change the starting file name in the sequence properties(this is not longer a problem in the newer version since it puts each run that is started in a new directory).
That is the only advantage I have ever saw in the partial sequence option, to overcome the need to make two clicks to change the starting file name.

I will use partial sequence to run samples if I want to run additional vials after the sequence has completed, and want one Sequence Table and the data to go into the same data subdirectory.
With our earlier versions of Chemstation (A. series), we used partial sequence all the time for reprocessing the data. With our C. series Chemstation, we can select runs in the "Review" window for processing (at least when we can figure out the new version software).
