External SRS regen for ICS1000(s)

I'm setting up two different ICS1000/2000 series front ends that will share an MS. I'll be running sequences that run one separation through one system and then shift to running the second system and then likely back again. I have a 10 port switching valve that will be used to select which front end feeds the MS.
Because of the MS, I need to setup external regeneration for the SRS. My question is, can I use one pump to regenerate the suppressors in series? I'm not sure if having the waste from the first suppressor will seriously negatively affect the regeneration of the second suppressor.

It would be the easiest setup.

I also thought about using a switching valve that would alternate which suppressor is in external vs. recycle mode so that only the system actively feeding the MS is in external mode. My concern is the pressure fluctuations that will surely occur because of the switching.

I'm a little short of pumps, otherwise I'd just add a second SRS regen pump and call it a day.
Thanks for all of your input!
Hello,

you could use a peristaltic pump with two channels, you'd be able to simultaneously regenerate both suppressors with water from only one regenerant bottle. I have a customer usin this setup.
Best not to run the peristaltic pump in push mode but to draw the regenerant through the suppressor.

Regards
Good idea! I'll also be running through the 2x CR-ATCs and 2x EG degassers. Do you think a peristaltic will have enough pull?
Thanks,
B
NO,

use the peristaltic pump only for the suppressors to be sure to have a defined and controlled flow.. When the IC pump is working, the CRTC and EG degassers are supplied with the suppressed liquid coming back from the CD cell.

Regards.
