Hello all,

I'm having trouble connecting a Chrompack CP9001 to a computer (with Galaxie software version 1.9).

I have no idea how to configure the software to make it recognize the incoming signal.

I only want to get digital chromatograms because changing settings of the GC from the computer is not possible.

How can I get my GC Chromatograms directly on the computer/software (to make it function like a recorder)?

Hello,

There is no driver for Galaxie for CP9001... and thus it is impossible to get digital data directly from the GC.
You can only collect the signal using an A/D converter supported by Galaxie (so either 800MIB or 850MIB).

Best regards

Thank you, this was exactly the help I was looking for. Because I can find the configuration for a 800MIB A/D converter in the Galaxy Configuration manager.

Hello all,

I have a second question:

Is there ANY method to connect a GC CP9001 to a computer to get digital chromatograms.

Here I have a list of hardware and software available at our lab at the moment:

- Galaxie GC software (version 1.9)
- Chromeleon chromatogram software (version 6.8 ) (I think it is HPLC only)
- Dionex UCI-100 interface (can this function as an A/D converter for this purpose? and how?)

Cables and plugs are no problem, we can always buy some cables (because they are not expensive).

Kind regards

Hello,

You can not collect digital signal from the Chrompack GC with any software. Only the original Chrompack software CP-Maitre (EzChrom).
Any other software You need A/D board and You can collect the analog signal.

For Galaxie, You need Star 800 or Star 850 box.

For Chromeleon, You need UCI100 or UCI50. So, if You have UCI100 You can connect the analog signal from the GC to the analog port of the UCI100. It must work. The Chromeleon version is does not matter.

Kind regards, If you have any question You can send it my email.
