Hi everyone! Hallo zusammen!

I have a problem with the column. There is a part of the connector that I can not unplug from the column. It could be that the fitting of the capillary is over-tightened and that the capillary and ferruls of the fitting got stuck in the column end fitting.

Some hints or ideas?

Did anyone have this problem too?

Many thanks!
Try to cool the capillary on the column endfitting with ice-spray and maybe you are lucky and you get it out. Otherwise you Need to replace the endfitting of the column. Talk with the manufacturer for the right replacement part. Good luck

What material(s) are the column end fitting, ferrule, screw, and capillary made of? If all are stainless steel and you simply have a stuck ferrule, there are a number of ways to deal with it because stainless steel can take some abuse. If some or all are PEEK or some other plastic, then it's a different story. Please advise!

I've successfully used a vise-grip pliers on the 1/16 inch metal tube (sometimes 1/32 inch stainless steel tube is welded to a short piece of 1/16 inch tube to mate up with traditional fittings) and pulled and wiggled at the same time.
Hallo!
Many thanks for all the tips! Actually it is a stainless steel tubing connection. I have checked suggestions and referrals to other subjects of the forum. I am going to try solutions.

Many thanks to all of you! so kind.
