we are looking to update or dated ThermoQuest Surveyor / Finnegan MicroAS HPLC system and enter into the world of analytical scale UHPLC.

One system we've been considering is the Dionex UltiMate 3000 XRS. It seems like a great fit on paper for us. It would be paired with a Q Exactive or LTQ ion trap MS.

I would be very interested in anyone's experience with this particular system or other systems from the 3000 series. How does it compare to other systems in your lab? What problems have you encountered? How robust is the system (% downtime)?

We are also considering Waters systems but we are apprehensive about interfacing those systems to Thermo MS instruments. Has anyone done that?
