Hi All:

we have a Shimadzu HPLC, but It can not run any sample recently. Every time I started the sequence, the machine stopped and showed " unable to create local file:C:\EZStar\".

Does anyone have an idea about that?

thanks a lot,

hua

What data system are you running(and version #)? Have you tried a manual injection/acquisition?

It is an old machine. EZStart7.4 sp1,LC-10AD. It was fine one month ago, but suddenly It stopped working without a reason. I didn't try a manual injection.

thanks for your help!

What is the map c:\EZStar\?
Is that the program map, or does it contain some temporary files or so?

Is there some way that the write privileges are set to No for that map?
Or maybe the HD full?

just some thoughts...

"C:\EZStar\ " is the program map. the disc has no problem for writing.

thanks.

I sometimes get that or a similar error if I'm trying to write a file with the same name as a file that's already there. This often happens when you start a sequence, stop it for whatever reason and then start it again. You have to change the filename of the runs in the sequence (for those you've already ran) or delete them from that directory.
