hello everybody
i have an old Waters hplc system which is 1515 with 486 detector and empower software,
Problem is empower giving an error occasionally that is complete system hangs during samples or standard running and empower screen gives an error "instrument failure 486@6" in this situation complete system needs to be restart then error removed,
and it is possible that error can be appeared many times during the analysis or may not be seen for many samples ,
kindly give me some solutions if any one have faced the same problem or suggest me if anybody knows: Thanks
I had a similar issue where my 486 would drop communications. I replaced my IEEE cables and problem went away. The cables on it were quite old and one of the screws to hold it in place wasn't there anymore.
Thanks Mr.ScottyThree for your reply
It can be due to IEEE cable and connections but can is it possible it is due to software that breeze software is the genuine software and it was replaced with the empower software
