I need some input on price.

I work at a small university that would like to sell it's used Varian Saturn GCMS system. It comes with the Archon autosampler and Tekmar purge and trap. It has been very lightly used but is need of a new turbo pump.

Looking for some feedback as to what would be a reasonable price to ask for it. When it comes to used equipment has anyone had success/horror stories selling to a company that specializes in used equipment? If I'm reselling to someone that refurbishes is it worth my time to replace the pump myself? or sell as is?

Feedback would be greatly appreciated!!
Your equipment is worth very little; maybe $3000 to $4000 if you are lucky. Sell the Archon and P&T separate; it at least is worth something. A Saturn with a bad turbo might fetch you $500 if you throw in the GC. Put it all out on eBay and see what people will give you for it.
