Hi, I accidentally broke the transfer line to my split/splitless inlet on my agilent GC with headspace. Is anyone familier with the ProSteel transfer lines? I'm hoping it will be compatible with what I am doing and since it is stell it should be more durable.

I used Restek FS coated SS tubing with their deactivated unions for years with great success. Identical results to using FSOT tubing.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Hey Rod, how do you cut your SS tubing? I think the guys who installed mine for me used snips or something because the end is bent and is oval in shape.

Unbelievable technique they used! I hope you have better skills.
Using a tiny three sided file I scored the SS tubing on one side and then with needle nosed pliers gently flexed the line back and forth with short strokes until the line snaps cleanly. If the opening is not circular a small needle (I have even used a thumb tack) inserted inside the opening can reform it.
I used graphite ferrules to connect the tubing in the union. Use sufficient care not to 'tug' on the tubing or it can disconnect. Removal of the ferrule in the union usually requires its destruction to achieve.
Good luck,
Rod
