Got the Agilent 1200 set up through ICF, Chromeleon 7.1, have control of the instrument. At first put the CAD under the same instrument and could not see the CAD, set up another instrument with just the CAD under the same controller. The CAD is connected via USB. The Agilent is using Jet Direct card - to dedicated NIC card.

Once CAD set up as a separate instrument- all menu items are visible, however there is not trace, nothing appears when monitoring baseline. I have the CAD under remote control and it is responding to commands from the menu. After a sequence is setup the following error message shows up:

"No data has been received from the detector for 2 minutes."

when CAD is setup as stand alone it appears to want to be connected to Ultimate 3000 in chromeleon, however this instrument does not exist.

Very close to getting this working but really without a signal- I am not sure I can use the software with current configuration.
Hi Chrom,

Firstly, have you tried contacting your local Tech Support? They may be better placed to support you with this.

However...

Within the Configuration Manager, just a few of things to check.

1) You have 'Simulation Mode' un-checked and are therefore connected to your real instrument?
2) You have browsed to the USB module address to allow correct connection?
3) Within the Detectors Tab, do you have the right version of your CAD selected? i.e. Corona, Corona Plus, Corona Ultra or Corona Ultra RS.

In reality, there shouldn't be any issues with what you are trying to do.

Thanks

Hi, everything has been set up properly, the CAD is not in simulation mode, but after 2 minutes it will not collect data and therefore stops communicating. We are not really local to tech support, so I called to get a service contract on the system since it has sat idle for 2 years and after talking with a few contacts from TMO I believe the board may be the issue.

Chrom.
