Back Flush Doubt

Dear All,
In our new GCMSMS We have injected samples in back flush mode using the configuration Column(30m,dia0.25mm and Film0.25μm)+PUU+restrictor(1m,dia.18mm and fim 0μm).
First i am runing in Constant flow method with 1 ml from inlet and 3.4ml from PCM.I am geting a low response in this mode.
I changed to constant pressure mode i am getting maximum response when inlet pressure set at 27 psi during run and 2 psi during back flush And in PCM i am seting 3psi during run and 40psi during backflush.I am notice that the column flow is 2-2.5ml during my run and 3.5-4ml in PCM.In Backflush the from inlet column floe is zero and PCM flow is 19.1ml.Is this high flow causing any problem for column?
What is Diff pump in backflush evaluate window of GC parameter.My Diff Pump has a 4 ml Capacity.
