Hi,

We are having issues with our GC/MS in that the nitrogen will spike regularly at around 12pm every day. We have tried using different helium cylinders, removing the trap, using a new trap (Agilent Universal trap). We have recently had a new helium manifold installed and have had the guys out to check it and they have fixed all the leaks that they were able to find although, the nitrogen is there even if we bypass the manifold and hook the mass spec directly up to a helium cylinder.

I am wondering if anyone has any ideas of what could be causing this.

Thanks,

Jo
