Empower control of HP1100's

Hello,

we have recently connected our HP1100 systems to Empower, and find that the Autosampler heater/cooler temperature is not displayed while running  . Analysts would like to see this as they are used to it from running Alliance systems. Does anyone out there have experience with this phenomenon, and if so is there a work-around/patch/firmware update?

Cheers,
Chris

<--- new to Empower... but - have some info...

When using a serial or ethernet connection to control an 1100, Empower installers are specifically told to do 2 things after getting the dip switches right and the correct firmware installed on the 1100.
1) uncheck the error if too low setting in the mobile phase reservior screen (where you can tell the 1100 how much MP yuou've added and it tracks usage)
2) disable ANY thermostatically controlled module's data output stream - column compartment and autosampler thermostat information feeds to Empower can cause problems. Disabling these data streams is a service menu ordeal (fairly involved gameboy operations).

Although Empower disables gameboy inputs when you're running a sequence, you can still change views on the gameboy and may be able to bring up the ALS temp. on one of the system status screens.
