Different peak shape in GC

Hello,
I observed that some analytes (i.e. erbicides) injected in GC showed a different shape in reference solutions (in CH2Cl2) and in water sample extracted with CH2Cl2:
the extracts show a good thin shape of the peak, instead the reference solutions (in the same solvent) show e wider shape.
Do you know the reason of this behavior?
