Dear sir,
I have a question for different detector's quantification results.

Now,
I have tedlar bag sample(it included BTEX gas with 10ppbv(N2 dilution))
We have GC/MS and GC/FI(GC/PID) system to analyze sample.
Concentrations will be calculated as toluene equivalents.

For GC/MS, we have thermal desorption/GC/MS. First i will collect air for 10minutes using accurate MFC into Tenax tube.
For GC/FID, we have cold trap before GC column.

Total concentrations are same if I use three different detectors?

I’m looking forward to hearing from you soon.

As long each system is properly calibrated (in terms of response vs amount) then they will all give the same result.

Are you able to go down to the lower limits required by law for BTEX using an FID detector?
