Agilent 1100 intensity test of MWD fails at the lowest range

Hello,

have anybody had this complicated problem that we have?

Here is the description:

We have run intensity test for MWD lamp tens of times and it fails everytime at the lowest range (190-220nm). Usually intensity is around 1000-1800 and it should be at least 2000. All the other ranges are passed.

We have cleaned coupling lens assembly and cell support window. We have also tried with an another lamp and a flow cell (they work perfect in an another machine of same type) but no help for this problem. Accidently we cleaned achromat lens with isopropanol gently (the manual says that only dry air should used) but I think it didn't affect anyhow. We also have cleaned the the window of source lens assembly without unmounting the assembly.

The result of flow cell test was 0.6 so it should be sufficient.

Flow cell has been full of water every time (pumping at least 10-15 minutes) and lamp has been turned on at least 15-20 minutes before the test.

Any idea? Thanks for your help !
Hi

Usually IPA clean of achromatic lens is not sufficient, best bet is to replace it and the cell support assy.
Unless there is a good reason e.g. GLP / OQ tests then I would not bother.
