Reconfigure 6890 add FID/NPD

I am in the brainstorming phase of reconfiguring my 6890.

It's current configuration is
-2 inlets 1 7683 autosampler
-5975b MSD
-Aux EPC with 1 channel controlling the quickswap He supply thye other two are unused
-FPD with flow module it is never used. I guess someone though it was a good idea at the time because a lot of our flavors have sulfur compounds but I need the identification from the MSD and I really see no reason to use it over the MSD in Scan SIM or even SIM/Scan for quanititing sulfur compounds which we never do I just do TIC and % reports.

I was considering two possibilites swap out the FPD to someone in exchange for an NPD or FID.

I was wondering if I could use the same flow manifold for an FID or NPD (possibly changing the restriction frits) or unfortunately I am one channel short using the EPC (I have 2 available) to control the gasses.

The NPD would be useful for derivitized amino acids and capsaicinoids/SHU
I could also use the FID for the same methods.

I guess my question is what would be the cheapest option. For either would I just need the electronics and physical detector.

Hi

The EPC modules match their detector, so you would have to swap both parts out. Also the signal board ( behind left hand cover ).
