Im experiencing very low recoveries extracting picloram in soils samples. Recently we fail a PT study on that compound. Have anybody have that problem experiencing low recoveries??

any help will help a lot
Just curious, what is your extraction technique?
We use the SW846-8151A
Read through this SOP written by CAS lab. It's very similar to 8151 but has some tweaks. The general idea of the extraction is the same however. I have found it is very important to make sure that the soil is acidic. Also, extracting with ethyl ether rather than methylene chloride seems to be a little more efficient in regards to recovery.

I found it to be very useful. Hope this helps!
