Software Clash?

Hi all,

I hope this is in the right place, but I can't find anywhere specific to address software issues.

Does anyone have any experience running both MagIC Net and Chromeleon on a single PC?

We have recently added a Dionex cation IC, and therefore Chromeleon to a computer already running Magic Net. We have had a series of problems, but they all amount to connection issues between the PC and the ICs. I can solve each connection problem individually, but by doing so cause a problem for the other instrument.

Am I just being inept or has anyone managed to get the two pieces of software to play nicely together?

Cheers,

Dave.

What types of connections are you using to connect to the instruments?

For example, USB for the Dionex ones and RS232 or Cat 5 for the other?

I've run Chromeleon and Shimadzu software simultaneously, but not MagIC Net. In that case, the system was configured to run on two different types of connections. It may not matter much though.

Please add some more information:

Which version of MagIC Net and Chromeleon?
Which version of Windows?
Any other applications running on the same computer?
