UPLC With Empower 3 System Config/Node Initialization Issues

Hello all. I am experiencing quite a bit of difficulty as my TUV detector is has "NO" listed in the Node:Instruments tab: OK column. Also QSM is not connecting. I did have a node for the QSM that would not list the serial number of the instrument and would not connect so I removed the node, scanned, and I get the same thing. "serial # uninitialized" and OK in the OK column I mentioned previously. Can anyone help me out? All ethernet cables are connected. Looking at the audit trail it seems the Waters Technician who serviced the instrument last month had a few troubles with this. Last service visit I also had to reconfigure the system for it to work...so I am not quite sure what he is doing to take the components offline.
Any help would be much appreciated.

If you have a no in your instruments tab, you should check your DHCP server.
Remove all the instruments from your DHCP, start up the instruments one by one and check if they all appear in the DHCP. If not, there is a connection error.
If they all show up and still gives a no in your instruments tab, you should check your ICOP versions.
If it's OK, but randomly disconnects, change your ethernet switch.
If all these things are OK, and still no connection, it's time to call a Waters technician.

The battery on the CPU board has exhausted. After the replacement the serial number can be typed from the consol.
