Empower Custom field Calculation

Hello all,

Iam new to this forum.

We are using Empower 3 FR1 in our lab.

I have a Question regarding the Empower custom field calculation for Residual solvents Test.

Diluent solvent peak area need to be subtracted from the standard and sample solvent peaks.

The formula I created for this subtraction is = Area-background..(Area)

It’s a peak type custom field. I labelled the diluent as background. So the area from the diluent solvent peak get subtracts from the sample and standard solvent peaks.

But this custom field is not working. Iam getting the same area of sample only. Subtraction is not working.

Could you please help me on this?

Hi Madhavi,

Set up the table in "Run Samples" such that the Diluent injection is named "Diluent" and place that exact name, including any capital letters, into the Custom Field.

This should fix your trouble...I believe.
