Area under the curve.

I am trying to figure of this problem that I am having.
I made this formula with standard solvents in the lab where say solvent X-37.2% , Y-35%, Z-15% and W-12.5%?
When I run it, for some reason the area under the curve for 37.2% comes out to be less than the area under the curve for 35%. And because of this when I run the formulation as an unknown, the % of Y comes out more than the % of X.
I am not having this kind of problem with any other formulations that I have made so far. I am using the method for everything. Just not sure why this is happening for this particular formulation.

What kind of detector are you using and what is the senstivity of the detector to each compund? If response factors between compunds differ, areas will not be in exact proportion to components.
Depending on how you do your injections you might be getting above the linear range of the detector for the largest component.
