Hi everybody,

I'm nearly new on LC-MSMS, or what is the same, whit a lot of things to know, yet!!!!
Could somebody recommend me a good book where to learn about "Development of methods and optimization of parameters of MS/MS (I mean cone voltage, tube lens, capillary temperature,..........)"

Please, tell me know!!
Thanks a lot!!

From the operators point of view the best book will be the instruments manual. This should be positions on top of general chemistry knowledge books and experience. Good understanding and knowledge of LCMSMS theory, operation, design and layout is very important. One needs to know how to position spray over the orifice, a little bit one way or a little bit opposite way, close or a bit away.
You need to have feeling of the instrument; I suggest playing with it and having fun. Try different compounds, flows and buffers. Use guidelines from the manual.

A good book on general method development, optimization and validation for small molecules is "Applications of LC-MS in Toxicology", edited by Aldo Polettini. For specific information on MS/MS parameters, the manual or help-function of your MS is indeed the best!
