LC/MS Training in Bay Area

Hello

I am interested in organizing a "collaborative LC/MS training" class. What I mean by this is that several companies would collaborate to settup a 4 day LC/MS training program (so for example, maybee 4 companies would be involved - and each would send 4 or 5 people).

My motivation for doing this is that: the cost for an on-site course tends to be fairly flat. So if several companies collaborate then it becomes considerably cheaper for each company.

I have already identified an organization to hold the class, and I have has some discussions with them about what would be covered, but for now suffice it to say that it would probably be a four day course covering mostly LC/MS (but some GC/MS as well).

More details can be discussed later. But for now I want to ask that anyone who receives this message - who works in the bay area, and who's company would be interested in something like this - please respond to this post.

Then if there is any interest, we can take it to the next step and start to talk details.

Thank You

You do not have to try to organize such a course yourself. Mass-spec-training.COM offers a five-days hands-on training course every year at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California: Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry: Principles and Practice. This is not a course where you learn about how to operate a specific instrument, but where you learn how to get data from a system and use those data to solve analytical problems. It covers both GC/MS and LC/MS; data acquisition strategies and data analysis (including mass spectral interpretation). Hundreds of people have taken this course over the past 25 years and all have come away with a very positive experience and an increased knowledge.

There are discounts for companies sending two or more people. You can go to http://www.mass-spec-training.com for more information.

As a point of information, I would like to point out that I am one of the course organizers and have been involved since the course’s inception.
