Dear fellow chromatographers,

I have been trying to procure a copy of "The Sadtler Standard Gas Chromatography Retention Index Library" but have been unable to find a source yet. I would appreciate any references or information regarding that book and also would welcome any suggestion to find retention index data for huge group of compounds with various stationary phases.

Thanks,
Suresh

Sadtler is owned by BioRad. If you haven't already tried there, check

Thanks for your reply Tom. I'd try BIORAD, they don't seem to have it anymore i guess. Any other source? (for the same volume or any other such library?)

Thanks,
Suresh

I did a quick search of various used-book sites to no avail. Best bet might be to contact Sadtler (BioRad) directly and see if they can either point you in the right direction, or perhaps find an old copy holding up table leg.

Bio-rad became Digilab which was recently bought by Varian. Don't know where Sadtler wound up, but you might check with Varian.

Suresh,

I don't know whether you have accesed Supleco site. There you can find the technical literature you are looking for. Bulletin number 880 will definitely help you. If you don't get, send me your email i will forward a pdf copy of that bulletin.

Thanks

Hi Tom,

I contacted bio-rad and they were not able to help me as it went out of publication a long time back! perhaps more than 10 years back!

Russ, I guess Sadtler is still handled by BIO-RAD informatics. I don't know if they have merged with Varian and still have a dedicated website for Bio-rad.

Chromgraph, thanks for the supelco technical bulletin, I wasn't exactly looking for the stuff it had, but it gave me some terrific info which i might be able to use in my research work! Thanks a ton.

Thanks all for replying. Any more ideas would be really appreciated!

Suresh
