Having a problem with a 6890A GC. This GC is using a G1512a AS controller, dual 7673 towers and 18596c tray. Running B.01.00 chemstation g1701 on an old winnt4 machine.

Having trouble figuring out the root of the problem. This has been occurring more often recently. Wondering if someone has some idea. The problem is difficult to reproduce. It usually happens a some random point in a sequence during the night while no one is present.

The sample will be successfully loaded in the turret. The injection will be made and the gc will commence, data is collected. Upon returning the vial to the tray is where the log indicates the problem occurs. Both vials will remain in their respective turrets. The error log indicates "No bottle in gripper" and "Instrument Control reported error 8026". the gc stops after this run completes. Presumably the front turret vial pickup is where it happens as this is the first vial returned to the tray.

Turrets and Control Box are NOT flashing the typical error codes, they seem happy :D ... i suspect this being caused be the tray? not sure how to troubleshoot it. any advice would be appreciated here

thanks
May be the micro switch on the gripper.
