Going out on a limb, I'd guess that it has something to do with the oven getting too hot. Presumably this has occurred to you as well, and there are other details that you are not telling us.

If it's a 5890 you might have blown your triac. Happened to me and I got the over temp warning.

Last month I replaced a faulty oven temperature sender on a 6890 GC, was causing oven shutdown. Working now.

Broken temperature sensors can cause the temperature to either read maxed high or maxed low, which if giving a max high would cause this problem.

Agree with Bigbear. Could be a bad triac. Also could be a bad oven sensor or board. Is this a 5890? If so, there is a fuse in back on the board where the triac is that could be blown. Please shut off and unplug the GC before checking anything back there. It also could be a bad heater. The heater is connected to the same board in back. You can remove the connectors from the board (they have a heavy cloth insulation around them) and ohm them out to see if the heater's bad. If it's broken it will be open, but a lot of times the ceramic insulators break and it will short to ground. Please let us know what you find.
