I was working with chemstation, and now in my new job, I use EZchrom.

I can't find anything there, like S/N calc, or print extended performance to SST, or insert data to the sequence like multiplayer, dilution... for auto calc etc...

Thanks
for the calculations the info is in the sequence itself
see the columns are not hidden, right click properties and mark them back. you should have 4 dilutors and multippliers.

signal to noise is an annotation that you can had to your reports or screen display of the chromatogram.
but if I rememeber right it is not a GLP result. it is 2 times less then according to USP and the noise is taken only from the chromatogram you are using, and you cannot set the noise range in any way, it is from waht the software sees as not peaks

Hello brasileo,

we had the same problem when we moved from CHS to EZCh. Agilent local representative made a macro for us which has functionality as S/N calculation in Chemstation. Everything is described in Powerpoint presentation (including necessary files).
Have a nice day.

Because I have a similar trouble trying to figure out this calculation.

Hello again

I have 2 questions Brasileo,

Do yo have to make a special folder to put the scripts?

or

In Which Folder do you have to put them?

Thaks

Dear Jackus

It´s me again, I have another question for you,

How long did your local representative in resolve your problem?

I make this question because we have a few weeks trying to figure out this problem, and still we couldn´t resolve.

We made a report and we don´t know how long it could expect for resolve our doubts and problems.

Thanks .
Hello Nelsongar,

I cannot remember exact time it took. I suspect it was about up to two weeks. Finally the solution didn't come from Agilent but their local rep. who was programmer.

You can save files anywhere you want. You have to specify exact path as described in PPT. In our client/server version I saved them to server but you can save them locally into EZCh project folder (as example).

Dear Jackus Thank you very much for your information, but I forgot that ther version of the Software we own is Agilent OpenLAB Chromatography Data System (CDS) EZChrom Edition and I don´t know if both software are similar. We are investigated and they have differences, in our software we can´t program some parameters.

That´s the problem and I dared to question you about that.

Thanks again.
Hi, you definitely can program scripts in OLCDS EZChrom, just like in the 'old' EZChrom. It is a bit different.
Furthermore, under Custom Parameters you have USP and EP S/N calculations. At least in versions A.04.04 A.04.04 and A.04.05. Please refer to the manual where it is exactly written how to perform such calculation. In one case you need a separate blank run to be acquired.

Thanks for your advice, but We need the calculations for S/N 6-sigma, because is part for validate methods in regulations for pharmaceutic industry, We are working in this problem, but the calculations are very incongruous and we are stuck in that
