my friend have a GCMS result.. but we dont know how to use it.. that file contain three library hit compounds.. how can i find which one is our compound?
The usual way is to compare the retention time with standards of the possible compounds. If you don't have standards of any of them you may be able to eliminate choices based on the retention time of your unknown and known compounds eluting close to it in time.
In some cases you may not be able to determine which, if any, of the library matches is correct without a standard.
And, sometimes no library match hit is correct.

The easiest path for identification of an unknown is knoledge of your sample. This suggests things that might be present.
sometimes that can be a problem. Especially the terpenes I can get muliple high match hits. I had a chromatogram last week that had alpha pinene in 4 different places according to the library report. Alkanes can be tricky too as well as some isomers.
