Installing hydrogen, hydrocarbon, universal traps for GCFID

We are installing GCFID traps for hydrogen, hydrocarbon and a universal traps for our 4 GCFIDS. We had not traps installed before! What should we do?....is there anything we should do while installing? purging? Can anybody recommend how to install them
