I have taken a new job where they are using Agilent OpenLAB Chromatography Data System (CDS) EZChrom Edition with an Agilent 1220 LC system. I have lots of experience with ChemStation, Waters Millenium and some older CDS software, but this flavor of EZChrom is a mystery! Unfortunately, the person that I'm replacing is unavailable to train me and he was the one and only user of this system. I've been reading through the Agilent Users Guide, but it's pretty dense. Does anyone know of an online source for training or tutorials that could get me up to speed quickly on this software? Chromatography is not my problem, merely this software. Also, what is the deal with Agilent buying EZChrom and their OpenLab platform? Are they phasing out ChemStation and migrating user to OpenLab/EZChrom CDS? Can you tell I like ChemStation better than EZChrom?

Hi Wilson!!
We have a few months with this software, the information that you can find is not sufficient for understand how to work, you need reed the manual and try to practice specially in offline mode.
Agilent has tutorials and you can contact them and ask for a quote for your training.
But you need a lot of practice.

IF you have the latest revision of Open Lab CDS....you can switch the GUI to look like Chemstation...that's the beauty of Open Lab CDS....same engine underneath but two different GUI (graphical User Interface) to chose from. Open Lab CDS is the result of migrating Chemstation and EZChrom to a single software platform.
