Hello:

First time poster so please take it easy on me. If I need to add or subtract information please let me know.

Now for the error messages. I am getting these error messages when the Binary Solvent Managers is first turned on:

1) Inter pump motion control HW failure
2) inter pump communications HW failure
3) Vent valve fail HW detected

#1 always comes in pairs the rest I just get one error message.

Also, when you look at the output screen on the computer the A motors show a pressure of around 93 but there is no flow. The B pumps do not show any pressure or flow. You can not start prime or anything else. You can not set the flow rate, and it always shows A pumps at 100%. This you can not change to 50% A1 pump and 50% B1 pumps.

If your looking at the front of the unit the left UPLC Motherboard has been changed. Not sure what else to do at this point. Any ideas or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thanks
Those do not sound like "user serviceable" problems. Time to get a service tech in.

Just so no one else has a headache trying to figure out this problem. Here is the top 4 answers:

-PCB
-Power supply
-Firmware
-Lose Cable

If one of these do not solve the problem might have to change one of the items that is registered a HW failed error message.

I really do hope this helps out.

Believe!
We are experiencing partial display on UPLC Control console. We are using Empower2 2154 with installed 1.65 ICS. MS FrameNet 3.5v. It shows NOT CONNECTED with Red dot on both BSM,ASM also configured by DHCP,MAC address etc. Surprising thing is that our instrument activates Pump and autosampler works still showing not connected sign.
Plz guide from here. Its our first time with Acquity system
Thanks and Best regards
