Hi,

I will use the following column, but i can not find which mark and model is the best choice. Is it packed column or capillary column? If you know, can you help me about it ?

Stationary phase : diatomaceous earth for gas chromatography R impregnated with 10-20 % of poly(dimethyl)(75)(diphenyl)(25)siloxane R (film thickness : 125-150 µm)
L: 1.8-3 m ve Ɵ =3-4 mm

Thank you for your helps

It's a packed column. You have some scope on the dimensions but basically it's a 1/8th inch packed column 1.8m up to 3m long. I don't have the pharamcopoeial definitions to hand (that is where this descritpion comes from) but a packed column supplier could sort this out for you. Basically it's a support with some stationary phase (liquid silicone) on it.

What analysis are you doing?

Gas Chrom R is no longer available. It is a fresh water diatomaceous earth that was very inert. The products today are from salt water beds and require a lot of cleaning to be almost as good.

I would suggest a megabore SPB-20 or SPB-35 or SPB-VOCOL (these are Supelco columns) or their equivalent from other vendors. 1 micron film would also be my suggestion.

good luck,
