We are using MassHunter software for controlling our Agilent 6460 MS. I have been getting a recurrent error when I try to run a worklist: "Failed to write scan record to the data file". This began when another computer was added to our network. In case the software was trying to poll for that other computer and timing out, we removed that computer from the network, but the error is still occurring. I have tried rewriting a couple of methods from the default.m method and starting with a clean worklist, but I still get the error after about 7 or 8 injections. Only one of my worklists ran - it was one created before this problem started and I tried re-injecting using this worklist last week and it ran without incident. Has anyone else encountered this problem? If you have any suggestions they would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi, which version of the software have you got? We've had V5 installed recently and since had several issues with hardware communication errors, worklist errors, screen freezing, software crushing etc. This was apparently due to V4 being upgraded to V5, so Agilent uninstalled the old and reinstalled V5 from scratch. As a result we have less problems, but odd things still happen occasionally.
Has anyone experienced similar problems?

Same list of errors can be reported. Very unstable build.

We also have V5, but are going to get V6 installed on our 6410 in the next couple of weeks.
