TotalChrom

TotalChrom Client/Server is getting old. Support from PE is not impressing, even with a service agreement. Our 2003 server hardware is due to replacement. I suddenly discovered how difficult it is to get hardware which can run Server 2003 (SP1). New licenses for 2003 server are difficult to obtain. My solution at the moment is to use Paragon server software to transfer our validated setup to new hardware. HP Proliant G6 and Dell PowEredge T410 should work, but are soon no longer available.

What is the newest version of Windows server / service pack any of you out there are running with TotalChrom Client/Server? Have you tried virtualization?

2003 it will be, maybe you can try virtualisation. Depending where you are, interested in a nice upgrade to OpenLAB CDS EZChrom? We re-use your 900 interfaces and control your GC's/LC's as well :D .

Too much money placed in TotalChrom (validation, SOP's, validated methods....). But in time we will need to consider changing system. PE has no support for TC C/S any more....

Mach, We've had excellent support from Perkin-Elmer over the years. We're currently running TotalChrom v6.3.2 (clients are all on Win7). We just recently replaced our server, the new server OS is Win Server 2008 R2, Ver 6.1 SP1.
