Solvent question

We have been using JT Baker ethyl acetate (9260) and MTBE (9043) with good results.
We have been having trouble in the last 18 months obtaining solvents with time left before expiration.
We purchased MTBE ( lot K47N54) last fall which has an expiration date 1/31/13!!!! Was told by my supplier the order I placed 2 weeks ago is back ordered until early March!
Chatted with Baker on line who said there is no MTBE production scheduled!!!!
Anyone else dealing with this issue?
Any other quality solvent manufacturer with a more reliable production schedule?

Getting close to my wits end.

If this is all it takes to get you close to your wits end, I'd consider a different career

Seriously though, there are other solvent manufacturers, and I assure you, nothing sacred about the mfrs you've been using. Also, you could try re-evaluating your solvents to extend expiry.

Sincerely,
Keith

Ok I think it may be time for a career as I've been doing this 30+ years.

I know there are other manufactures out there. I was hoping to get some reccomendations.

You may check Merck Chemicals, now EMD Millipore in USA.
I'm satisfied with their solvents.
