. I'' ve a GC-ECD (GC 17 shimarzu A) that has not worked for years. when I'' ve tried to work with the detector does just a straight line. I'' ve injected hexane but no response. since no other response,I'' ve tried to work with another solvant (chloroform). help me solve the problem.
questions: how should it set the zero current ranks.
I thank you ahead of me to provide advice or documents.
Does your ECD have N2 , at @ 250-300C, and set to the on position?
If yes to these check at the GC keypboard for a signal. If you have none you may need a new detector. The radioactive foil dose have a lifetime ( though the signal goes up when needing replacement)
