why i cannot find the diagnostic key in the control menu.

Hi Kamel,

Are you running an Ultimate 3000 system? The diagnostics function within CM 6.8 is only available for this particular range.

Hi anthony,

yes of course, I am running ULTIMAT 3000, and CM 6.8;that's why I wonder why this feature is not available on the menue.
We also bought a new instrument (UHPLC focused) it works with CM6.8, the diagnostic key is available but grayed out (not accessible).

Hi Kamel,

What service release of CM 6.8 do you have?

Can you also make sure that the firmware on all your Ultimate modules are as up to date as possible. This can be updated via the Server Configuration Manager.

Just to also make absolutely sure. Both you instruments are 'Connected'?

I am using CM 6.8 built 2212 for DIONEX HPLC and CM6.8 BUILT 3161 for UHPLC.

modules are connecter of course.
the update I dont know.

Hi Kamel,

If you are running CM 6.8 (Flat) then this may be the problem, in that the diagnostics function came available after SR1.

I am presuming you got the version number from Help>About Chromeleon ? If there are no SR numbers directly following on from 6.8 then you currently do not have any service releases in your version. For example mine says: Chromeleon Version: 6.8 SR12 Build 3578.

If this is the case you can simply request the latest service release (SR12) from your local Sales Representative or Service Engineer. This is free of charge.
