Help with Analog signal

I am attempting to setup a Varian 3400 GC with FID detector.
I have successfully plotted the signal on an old chart recorder, and the signal looks clean. However, I would like to hook it up to an Shimadzu CR5A Integrator (from an old HPLC). However, when I attach it to the integrator, I get a constantly increasing baseline (nice straight line at about a 45 degree angle) and I don't seem to be getting any actual signal.

Any suggestions? Is this setup even possible?

Possibilities :

Cable connection to CR-5A is wrong , so you are getting blank signal , increasing during warming up of the integrator.

The attenuation is very low , so you are seeing the very small changes on the signal.

Change the hydrogen flow a little bit and observe the signal if a you see a sudden change , it gives you some idea about the signal.
