Hello
We have recently purchased Agilent 7820A GC with 7697A Headspace sampler.
We have only 1 FID and Single injector port with transfer line.
We are using this instrument for Residual solvent test as per USP.
As we are using this instrument for pharma, my question is How to calibrate this instrument?
I am using BP624 capillary column for analysis purpose.

Thank You.
One does not calibrate the instrument, rather you process standards which allow you to verify the reproducibility and level of detection of your analysis for any solvent using headspace.

The proper operation of the instrument is also verified by using standards which confirm the sensitivity and reproducibility of the detector.

The procedure for this confirmation of proper operation of the GC is found in the installation documentation of the instrument.

Good luck.
