Hi,

Did anyone had to change the bottom motherboard on the HP 1090 HPLC instrument? It's the only solution I have left for my problem but I would like to know the easiest way to get it out and replace it.

Thanks
Are you sure that you need to replace the board? If I recall, there is a fuse on that board that I didn't know about until after I had taken out most of the guts. Also, if/when you check that fuse for continuity, don't rely on visual inspection - take it out and use an ohmmeter.
Well this sure is something new to know, I will check that fuse, is it possible the fuse is why I get random error when trying to start the instrument. Chemstatition reported error like EI07, EI08 and so on. The small board with connectors for the injector and sampler is ok since I replaced it to be sure.
