Hi,
does anybody know a source of Varian V70 pumps for Saturn 2000? Am I wrong if I find 12.000 USD too much for this item?

Turbo pumps run in that price range. We just paid 10,000 for one for an Agilent instrument.

Hi,
where are you based? I know a company in Germany which has exchange pumps for the Saturn 2000.
This will not be the V70. AFAIK V80 are the Exchange pumps.
When I remember right, the price is around 5-6 k€. But don`t nail me on this price.
If you are interested I can search for the contact details.
Best regards
Stephan

Varian turbo-molecular pumps are an expensive nightmare as they can't be field-serviced so you're at Varian's/Agilent's mercy.
A reasonably priced vacuum specialist in Germany is Infraserv Vakuum GmbH, located near Munich.

Hi Stephan,
our lab is in the Czech Rep., in Liberec. It would be very kind of you to let me know the contact, Germany is still in our "reach".
Best regards,
Pavel

Hi Pavel,
the company is Chroman GmbH (Mr. Klaus Jahn) and based in Leipzig, Germany.
You`ll find the adress details easily with Google. I don`t know if it is ok to post
full company details.
Hope this information may be helpful for you.
Best regards
